Is the help chat really helping? That is the question that needs to be asked. The help chat seems to be falling apart as of late.

Every time I go to help some newbie or some neopian who just needs some help the board is suffocated by guess and wins and wishlists. It is overrun with greedy people who are out to help themselves. It seems the only way to get help is to offer some reward in return and that is not the way it should be. The help chat should do exactly that it should help.

I know that there are some members of neopia who are doing their best to help everyone as best they can, but it becomes a little difficult at times to sort out which requests are total junk and which requests are actually worth looking at.

I am not sure what solution could change the way the help chat has become. I think it needs a number of things. A board to post wishlists and other things of that nature could be created to draw people away from the help chat. More neopians could take some time and visit the help chat. Even if only one question is answered that is still far better than doing nothing at all.

The only way to make the help chat truly help again is to take some time for other neopians and to forget about your own goals.
