"Sumulak! JasDaMan!" I called. They yelled back "Coming!". They walked somberly down the stairs and plunked themselves down to their favorite breakfast, Sausage Omelette and Apple Juice. However, they just stared at their meal as if I was feeding them a rotten berry and an old shoe. "What is the matter?" I asked concerned. "Nothing! Nothing at all.", they said. They nibbled at the food then got up. "What do you need?” I asked. "When is Makaluma coming home?" asked Sumulak. I told them to sit down in the family room until I cleared the table. As I cleared the barely touched food off their plates I though about what I would say. What can I say? That their sister was abducted by aliens? No. I will tell them the truth the whole truth. How I was scammed and their dear sister was taken then abandoned. As well as the fact that she has been adopted and I can't get her back anymore. I braced myself and walked slowly into the family room.....
When I finished the sad story Sumulak and JasDaMan were both crying. I told them if they wanted to they could go to their room and skip lessons. They both ran into the sanctuary of their room. The room they once shared with their sister. The room they fought laughed and cried. I sighed and walked into my room where I could cry as well. For the next couple days we were all depressed. Sumulak and JasDaMan refused to eat; talk and I expected they would refuse to breathe soon as well. I knew it was hard but if they didn't try to be happy they wouldn't get better. Nothing would. So I decided to try my hardest to be happy and join new things.
I searched the news, Myopia, and posts for places to go and people to meet and see. Sumulak every so often would smile but JasDaMan remained as unhappy as ever. I decided they needed a commitment that they could enjoy. Playing games wasn’t enough anymore. I looked around and finally saw that a guild would be the best choice. I posted a notice that said "Guild less - Want a friendly, active and fun guild." I got many neomails saying they were the best choice. I couldn't decide so I decided to late fate choose. I posted again saying "Post Your Guild." I told myself the 3rd choice would win. I looked and saw the letters TSP which stood for The Secret Places.
I checked this guild out. It seemed friendly enough and it had enough members to keep JasDaMan and Sumulak content yet not enough to make them feel crowded. I joined and brought along Sumulak and JasDaMan. Sumulak said he had the time of his life and JasDaMan said it wasn't too bad. So I went there everyday and the friendly members, contests, and the reality of having fun helped my pets get over the trauma of losing their sister, make new friends, get more toys and, best of all, and have fun.
